In an interview, female jurors who voted to acquit Clancy criticized the lone male holdout, accusing him of arrogance and bias, while claiming he dismissed their expertise. However, the judge\u2019s instructions explicitly prohibited jurors from considering outside opinions, meaning some jurors may have disregarded these directives by introducing personal knowledge. Experts note that the external opinions presented by the nurses lacked actual expertise, as nurses are not qualified to interpret the specific medical evidence, and their input was not sworn or subject to cross-examination. The jurors, among them nurses, accused the male holdout of being \u201cvery arrogant.\u201d One juror said that the holdout wanted to focus on the toxicology report and that \u201cthe nurses in the room spoke to that \u2026 they spoke to that specific thing\u201d as if their expertise should have forced him to accept their interpretation of the evidence. The jurors then decried that the lone male holdout \u201ccompletely disregarded\u201d their supposed expertise, and said the male juror \u201chad the hardest time getting off the fact that Lindsay viciously killed her children.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1797252690\" class=\"d-flex justify-content-center fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2 fdrlst__b89e9-entity-placement\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1463670073398-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But disregarding the nurses\u2019 outside opinions is precisely what the judge told the jurors to do. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the court transcript, the judge told jurors: \u201cIf somebody has a question in that jury room, you are not allowed to try and answer it by anything other than through the exhibits and evidence you\u2019ve heard.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By the jurors\u2019 own account then several of them appeared to have violated jury instructions. The jurors, by their own admission, used their own experience to interpret the evidence and then demeaned and badgered the holdout for refusing to defer to them. The lone male holdout apparently was using only the sworn testimony and evidence introduced in court to make his decision, which is exactly what the judge instructed. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As The Federalist CEO and <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/seanmdav\/status\/2097476259634622819?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">co-founder Sean Davis<\/a> said in a post on X \u201cFor purposes of a jury trial, those women have no expertise. None. The only experts are those who testify and can be cross-examined. If they tried to introduce their own alleged (and unsworn) expertise and then used it within deliberations to badger another juror, that is a bright line violation of the instructions the judge provided to the jury.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In fact, as Davis <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/seanmdav\/status\/2097486191377428700?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">further points out<\/a>, the nurses lacked even actual expertise in the subject matter. Nurses do not undergo the same schooling that doctors go, nor can they prescribe medications or make diagnoses. Even more so, their supposed knowledge was not presented under oath, nor subject to cross examination. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While a mistrial has been declared, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/seanmdav\/status\/2097447696319607170?s=20\">Da<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/seanmdav\/status\/2097447696319607170?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">vis<\/a> points out that \u201cThe judge in the Clancy case needs to hold contempt of court hearings for the nurse jurors who reportedly ignored <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/clinton-campaign-fusion-gps-provided-legal-advice\/\" title=\"Clinton Campaign: Fusion GPS Provided Legal Advice\">expert witness testimony<\/a> and brought in external information (who could possibly understand the information without an external background lecture from nurses on the jury), rather than relying on expert witness testimony, and then used that to attempt to bully a juror into agreeing with them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While the jurors portrayed the lone male holdout as arrogant for refusing to defer to them, their own words suggest he may have been the only juror in the room willing to decide Clancy\u2019s verdict based on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/sarah-bedford-claims-media-is-complicit-with-democrats-in-lacking-impeachment-coverage\/\" title=\"Sarah Bedford accuses the media of being &#039;complicit&#039; with Democrats by not covering impeachment enough\">actual evidence presented<\/a>. <\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\">\n<div class=\"article-author-description fst-italic\">      Brianna Lyman is an elections correspondent at The Federalist.
