Clancy is accused of killing her three children and claims she did so during a postpartum psychosis, asserting an insanity defense. The jury has been unable to reach a unanimous decision, prompting Judge William Sullivan to instruct them to persist. Recently, the foreperson reported that a single juror was not adhering to the judge\u2019s instructions regarding reasonable doubt. clancy&#8217;s defense requested the judge dismiss this holdout juror, but the judge emphasized to the jury their duty to follow the law irrespective of personal beliefs.
