That operation involved the FBI and authorities in the United Arab Emirates, China, and Thailand.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">More recently, Patel said he had established <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.investing.com\/news\/world-news\/exclusiveunder-patel-fbi-forges-unprecedented-law-enforcement-ties-with-china-russia-4836882\">new law-enforcement partnerships with China and Russia<\/a>, focused on cyber fraud and other transnational crimes. The cooperation has included personnel exchanges, intelligence sharing, and joint arrests, although the initiative has raised counterintelligence concerns because both countries remain major U.S. adversaries.
