There were no penalties or charges assessed. There was no insider trading.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"wex-inarticle-ad wex-inarticle-ad-art-dsk-inart-2\">\n<div class=\"wex-ad-wrap wex-ad-art-dsk-inart-2\" style=\"min-height:90px\"><span class=\"wex-ad-label\" hidden>Advertisement<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-3182201-16\" data-wex-ad=\"art-dsk-inart-2\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Peltola\u2019s campaign rejected Sullivan\u2019s accusations that the Democratic candidate has been lying to voters.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDan Sullivan and his Lower 48 backers are terrified of Mary\u2019s on the ground momentum and will do anything to distract from Sullivan\u2019s record of selling out to special interests and leaving Alaskans behind,\u201d a campaign spokesperson for Peltola said. \u201cAlaskans know the truth about Sullivan\u2019s record and will hold him accountable this November.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sullivan and Peltola advanced to the general election ballot from the open primary alongside Republican <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/congressional\/4629855\/alaska-supreme-court-second-dan-sullivan-ballot\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"4629855\">Dan J. Sullivan Jr.<\/a> (a retired teacher <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/congressional\/4692793\/second-dan-sullivan-advances-alaska-senate\/\">with no relation<\/a> to Sen. Sullivan) and Democrat David Leslie. Sen. Sullivan finished second with 41.4% of the vote, while Sullivan Jr. finished third with 2.5%. There were seven GOP candidates running in the open primary, compared to only three Democratic candidates.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The polls remain tight, within a single-digit margin between Sen. Sullivan and Peltola, with the Democrat leading in most available <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/polls\/alaska-us-senate-election-polls-2026.html\">polling<\/a>.
