The coin displays Trump\u2019s effigy along with inscriptions such as \u201cliberty,\u201d \u201c1776-2026,\u201d and \u201cIn God We Trust,\u201d with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/u-s-mint-begins-producing-coins-featuring-trumps-face\/\" title=\"U.S. Mint Begins Producing ... Featuring Trump&#039;s ...\">reverse side showing<\/a> the U.S. seal and a shield inscribed with \u201c250\u201d to mark the milestone. Minted mostly of copper with a gold-colored finish,the coins became available for purchase online,with limited editions pressed on July 4. Although federal law typically prohibits the president\u2019s face on currency, the Treasury Secretary approved this coin design. The project received approval from the Commission of Fine Arts, and additional coins were minted for the anniversary, including quarters, a nickel, and a dime. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent emphasized that the coin aims to honor liberty and patriotism, reflecting American values.
