Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) similarly argued that the Supreme Court is \u201cbought and sold by, unfortunately, people who are giant corporations and big corporate interests who buy luxury RVs and pay for golf vacations.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Washington Democrat said that tackling Supreme Court reforms is how Democrats \u201censure that we have a justice system that fights for working people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jeffries, who has previously said he is for Supreme Court reforms, told the <em>Washington Examiner<\/em> that Democrats have \u201cmade clear that we are going to hold everyone accountable who\u2019s been conducting themselves in ways that don\u2019t serve the best interests of the American people\u201d when asked whether reforming the high court aligns with Democratic messaging around affordability.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wex-inarticle-ad wex-inarticle-ad-art-dsk-inart-2\">\n<div class=\"wex-ad-wrap wex-ad-art-dsk-inart-2\" style=\"min-height:90px\"><span class=\"wex-ad-label\" hidden>Advertisement<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-3182201-16\" data-wex-ad=\"art-dsk-inart-2\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s unclear what reforms Democrats would pursue if they win the House majority in November or how those reforms would bring down the cost of living, but Democrats appear to be in favor of expanding the court. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA), who has <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/118th-congress\/house-bill\/3422\/text\">legislation to expand the Supreme Court,<\/a> accused the justices of having \u201caided and abetted the donor class, who are the billionaires and multi-billionaires and a trillionaire who have profited massively and continue to accumulate wealth at the expense of the bottom 99.9 percent of the American people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThey are the ones responsible for the high prices, and they\u2019re getting the profits from the high prices,\u201d Johnson continued.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wex-inarticle-ad wex-inarticle-ad-art-dsk-inart-3\">\n<div class=\"wex-ad-wrap wex-ad-art-dsk-inart-3\" style=\"min-height:90px\"><span class=\"wex-ad-label\" hidden>Advertisement<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-3182201-17\" data-wex-ad=\"art-dsk-inart-3\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC) told NBC over the weekend that he supported adding four seats to the court, saying that \u201c13 is a pretty good number.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cA baker\u2019s dozen would be a good number to have on the court,\u201d the longtime House Democrat said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rep. Rep.
