Safe and Beautiful Task Force,\u201d which has led to thousands of arrests. Lewis George emphasizes protecting officers from participating in joint operations with federal agencies and aims to end those collaborations, including joint roll calls and caravans. Lewis George said she wants to end \u201csome of the actions that are included within that Safe and Beautiful Task Force.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt\u2019s such a waste of American taxpayer dollars, what is happening, and again, it\u2019s a strain on our officers,\u201d Lewis George said of joint law enforcement efforts between MPD and federal officers. \u201cMy job as executive is to protect our officers as well.
