The law bans local police from entering into cooperation agreements with ICE, which previously allowed them to detain illegal immigrants and carry out immigration enforcement activities. And this is a very, very bad and dangerous law. The Nassau County Sheriff\u2019s Office will be the latest plaintiff challenging the anti-ICE law, Blakeman said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among the plaintiffs suing the state is Madison County Sheriff Todd Hood, who is Blakeman\u2019s running mate.
