A federal court injunction temporarily blocked the mail-in voting rule outlined in June, and USPS stated it would not implement this rule before the 2026 elections unless the Supreme Court rules in favor of it.<\/p>\n<p>The policy emphasizes that states receiving mail-in or absentee ballots must ensure voters are enrolled with USPS for inclusion on designated lists, which will help enforce federal law and aid law enforcement in monitoring ballot mailings.
