The pilot of the airplane was killed in the crash, which involved the Bell 407 police helicopter and a Cessna 150, a small trainer aircraft. The helicopter&#8217;s blades and tail boom were destroyed, causing it to crash on its side, while both police pilots, performing a training exercise, were trapped but managed to escape through a window; they are reported to be stable. Col. George Bivens, the state\u2019s acting police commissioner, said during a news conference. The Cessna is a two-seat aircraft that is typically used as a trainer aircraft, according to Bivens.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both of the pilots in the helicopter were trapped until one pushed out a window and helped the other out through it, said Bivens.
