Despite raising a record amount-the highest in the DNC\u2019s 198-year history-Martin highlighted concerns about the competitive fundraising landscape, citing the White House\u2019s influence and Republican-kind fundraising totals, such as the RNC\u2019s $129 million and the NRSC\u2019s $56 million. In contrast, the DNC ended June with $16.3 million in cash and over $18 million in debt, while GOP committees held substantially more cash.<\/p>\n<p>Martin acknowledged that Democratic candidates have been outraising Republicans at the individual level, with notable figures like Senator Jon Ossoff and Governor Roy Cooper raising significant sums. He also revealed plans to strengthen the DNC\u2019s financial efforts by convening a special finance committee with prominent fundraisers to boost resource levels in the final campaign push. During a recent summer gathering in Austin, Martin urged party members for additional support, stressing the importance of increased fundraising to secure victories across multiple races. Meanwhile, Trump\u2019s super PAC, MAGA inc., reported a $400 million war chest but has not yet spent heavily. The president has claimed that he will deploy the financial resources to boost Republicans nationwide, but the political action committee has yet to spend a significant amount.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wex-inarticle-ad wex-inarticle-ad-art-dsk-inart-1\">\n<div class=\"wex-ad-wrap wex-ad-art-dsk-inart-1\" style=\"min-height:90px\"><span class=\"wex-ad-label\" hidden>Advertisement<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-3182201-15\" data-wex-ad=\"art-dsk-inart-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article-paywall\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Republicans control the White House and both branches of Congress, helping bolster their financial coffers against their Democratic counterparts, Martin noted in his remarks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe DNC, the DCCC, the DSCC, the [Democratic Governors Association], the [Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee]. Every committee has been outraised by the Republicans,\u201d said Martin on Friday. \u201cAnd that means we need more, and we need to do more.\u201d The gaps between the congressional committees, however, are narrower than the national committees.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Republican National Committee had roughly $129 million at the end of June, while the National Republican Senatorial Committee had $56 million cash on hand, and the National Republican Congressional Committee had nearly $93 million cash on hand.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wex-inarticle-ad wex-inarticle-ad-art-dsk-inart-2\">\n<div class=\"wex-ad-wrap wex-ad-art-dsk-inart-2\" style=\"min-height:90px\"><span class=\"wex-ad-label\" hidden>Advertisement<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-3182201-16\" data-wex-ad=\"art-dsk-inart-2\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In contrast, the DNC ended June with $16.3 million cash on hand and more than $18 million in debt, while the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee had $41 million on hand, and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee had $73 million on hand.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Individual <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/congressional\/4650740\/senate-campaign-cash-tracker\/\">Democratic candidates<\/a>, however, have outraised their Republican competitors.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA) raised $20 million and had a whopping $42 million on hand at the end of June, compared to his competitor, Rep. Mike Collins (R-GA), who raised $2.2 million in the second quarter and enters the general election with $2.2 million on hand. Former Democratic North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper, who is running for the state\u2019s open Senate seat, ended the second quarter having raised $8.2 million and with over $20 million cash on hand. Cooper\u2019s opponent, former RNC Chairman Michael Whatley, raised $2.9 million and finished the quarter with $3.5 million on hand in the same time period.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wex-inarticle-ad wex-inarticle-ad-art-dsk-inart-3\">\n<div class=\"wex-ad-wrap wex-ad-art-dsk-inart-3\" style=\"min-height:90px\"><span class=\"wex-ad-label\" hidden>Advertisement<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-3182201-17\" data-wex-ad=\"art-dsk-inart-3\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Texas state Rep. James Talarico, who is running an uphill battle to flip the state\u2019s Senate seat blue, raised $28.3 million in the second quarter and had $21.5 million in the bank, while state Attorney General Ken Paxton, the GOP Senate nominee, brought in $2.2 million to his campaign account and had $1.8 million on hand. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Concern over Martin\u2019s stewardship of the DNC\u2019s finances has grown in recent months, leading the chairman to privately weigh bringing in <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thebulwark.com\/p\/exclusive-ken-martin-open-to-bringing-on-big-name-to-help-at-dnc\">additional help<\/a>, according to <em>The Bulwark<\/em>. <em>NOTUS<\/em> also previously reported that Martin said he would convene a <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ec_schneider\/status\/2084374505770623297?s=20\">special finance committee<\/a> to help with fundraising during a DNC members-only call.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A source familiar with Martin\u2019s comments to DNC members confirmed the details to the <em>Washington Examiner<\/em>. \u201cTo meet this moment, and to keep our momentum, we need more resources,\u201d Martin said on the call. \u201cAnd I want you to hear from me today that I get this and I\u2019m on it \u2014 and we\u2019re ratcheting up.
