Making the comeback sweeter, the beloved host\u2019s news was made public on his birthday.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\u201cAs birthday presents go, this was a pretty good one,\u201d Rowe <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/TheRealMikeRowe\">wrote<\/a> on Facebook Friday, captioning a Patheos post announcing the news.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\u201cI\u2019ll let you all know how things progress,\u201d he said. \u201cWe shot all week in Georgia and Florida. I\u2019m pleased to report that everything still works, mostly. On the other hand, everything is sore\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Rowe tied the hit show\u2019s comeback to the pandemic: as a celebration of essential workers \u2014 just as \u201cDirty Jobs\u201d has done since its premier in 2005.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\u201cEvery now and then, the headlines catch up to a TV show and make it relevant in ways that no one imagined. The popular franchise, which first aired on Discovery from 2005 to 2013 and rebooted last summer as a limited series (DIRTY JOBS: ROW\u2019D TRIP), will show Mike back in action as he showcases the unsung heroes of this country.
