Prosecutors allege Robinson targeted Kirk over his political and religious beliefs,which Robinson&#8217;s defense disputes,claiming there&#8217;s no evidence supporting this motivation. DNA evidence of the murder weapon has been presented by the prosecution, but the defense has not commented on it recently. Robinson faces multiple murder charges related to the shooting at Utah Valley University on September 10, but has not yet entered a plea.The next court hearing is set for september 1 to decide if the case proceeds to trial. The defense did not mention the DNA tests in its latest court filing. Prosecutors have until Aug. 18 to respond to the defense lawyers\u2019 argument.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Robinson faces multiple murder charges in connection with Kirk\u2019s assassination on Sept. 10.
