Hochul holds 49% of likely voters&#8217; support, while Blakeman has 39%. Voters favor Hochul on issues such as affordability and New York\u2019s energy future,though Blakeman has a slight edge on public safety. The poll indicates Hochul is more trusted than Blakeman on affordability by 16 points and narrowly on illegal immigration. Hochul also dominates among New York City voters with a 45-point lead but is closely contested upstate, and she maintains small advantages with independents. Both <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >candidates retain strong party support<\/a>, with Hochul favored by Democrats (80-8) and Blakeman by Republicans (84-9). The bad news is that voters think she\u2019s better than Blakeman on four other issues \u2013 affordability, energy, safety, and immigrants \u2013 by between only one and seven points.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hochul also toppled her GOP competitor in surveys among New York City voters, with respondents favoring her by a whopping 45-point margin. Blakeman has the upper hand in the downstate suburbs, as the Nassau County executive led in the poll by 8 points in a 49-41 split. Before Hochul, former Gov.
