Circuit Court of Appeals favors the Trump governance&#8217;s efforts to expedite the deportation of foreign nationals who were paroled into the United States during President Biden&#8217;s tenure. The court vacated a prior ruling that blocked the department of Homeland Security\u2019s directives to use expedited removal procedures. This ruling allows for the faster deportation process, which the Biden-era policies had apparently expanded, allowing numerous migrants from countries like Afghanistan, Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, Ukraine, and Venezuela, among others, to enter the U.S. under parole programs. The court found that the plaintiffs lacked standing to challenge these directives, effectively supporting the administration&#8217;s push to streamline immigration enforcement. Circuit Court of Appeals vacated a lower court blockade against the Department of Homeland Security\u2019s directives suggesting officials use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/crs_external_products\/R\/PDF\/R45314\/R45314.7.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">expedited removal<\/a> to speedily deport migrants. The decision throws out an August 2025 ruling by Biden-appointed District Judge Jia Cobb, who <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.md\/DYHLb#selection-1925.94-1925.159\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">claimed<\/a> that the migrants \u201cplayed by the rules\u201d and the federal government subsequently \u201cchanged the game.\u201d<\/p>\n<div id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1890057811\" class=\"d-flex justify-content-center fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2 fdrlst__b89e9-entity-placement\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1463670073398-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The D.C. Circuit panel was comprised of Chief Judge Sri Srinivasan, an Obama appointee, and Judges Neomi Rao and Justin Walker, both Trump appointees. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2026\/aug\/11\/appeals-court-revives-dhs-speedy-deportation-powers-bidens-paroled\/?srsltid=AfmBOooP9kElAAPxBV8vxbFb4nw2KP0wr-XSrwcMGWusvIY3ONARsUTn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Washington Times<\/a>, paroling foreign nationals into the country \u201cbecame a loophole to the usual border controls\u201d under the Biden administration. The Democrat president reportedly allowed in \u201cAfghans, Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, Ukrainians and Venezuelans who flew into the U.S., plus a large swath of other migrants who reached the U.S.-Mexico border and preregistered their arrival.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A former immigration judge told the outlet that the prior administration paroled an estimated 2.9 million migrants during its four years in power. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In its Tuesday decision, the D.C. Circuit held that the plaintiffs suing the Trump administration over its bid to expeditiously remove the migrants lacked standing to challenge the government\u2019s directives. There were no noted dissents.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cPlaintiffs cannot seek relief that changes nothing for them. The plaintiffs here tried to do just that. So we vacate the stay issued by the district court,\u201d the court ruled. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DHS General Counsel James Percival <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DHSGenCounsel\/status\/2087203261787045953?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hailed<\/a> the appellate court\u2019s ruling as a \u201cbig win\u201d on X. Linking to an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dhs.gov\/cbphome\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">agency webpage<\/a> that helps facilitate voluntary deportations, he added, \u201cIt\u2019s not too late to take a $2,600 check and a free flight home!\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tuesday\u2019s ruling is the latest legal win for the Trump administration in its bid to remove foreign nationals from the United States. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In June, the D.C. Circuit <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2026\/06\/23\/d-c-appeals-court-greenlights-trumps-expedited-deportations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">overturned<\/a> a separate injunction by Cobb that attempted to block the government\u2019s bid to expand the expedited removal process to increase the deportation of illegal aliens throughout the country. That decision came days before the Supreme Court <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2026\/06\/25\/supreme-court-affirms-temporary-status-for-foreign-migrants-is-temporary\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sided<\/a> with the administration in its efforts to end Temporary Protected Status for hundreds of thousands of noncitizens registered under the program. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\">\n<div class=\"article-author-description fst-italic\">      Shawn Fleetwood is a staff writer for The Federalist and a graduate of the University of Mary Washington.
