Fetterman described McCormick as a “great guy” and emphasized their collaboration as part of “Team Pennsylvania,” including the formation of a <a href="https://www.conservativenewsdaily.net/breaking-news/more-electioneering-dirty-facebook-suspends-gop-ad-campaign-days-before-january-georgia-runoff-election/" title="More Electioneering: Dirty Facebook Suspends GOP Ad ... Fetterman’s stance marks a shift from his previous more partisan approach; he has become known for his bipartisan friendships with Republicans and his distancing from conventional Democratic labels. He has also indicated he may not seek re-election in 2028,with his favorability ratings higher than McCormick’s among Pennsylvania Republicans.Additionally, Fetterman has expressed strong support for Israel and criticized left-wing democratic positions, reflecting his more moderate or independent approach to politics. Despite ongoing speculation about his political future and potential party changes, Fetterman maintains he is committed to his party but values bipartisan relationships and cooperation.

EXCLUSIVE — Sen. Dave McCormick (R-PA) will have at least one Pennsylvania Democrat he doesn’t have to worry about should he run for a second term in the Senate.

Sen. John Fetterman, his home state colleague, told the Washington Examiner he won’t campaign against McCormick in 2030, an unusual promise from a member of the opposite party and one of the clearest signs of their political alliance yet.

Recommended Stories

Fetterman pledges not to campaign against Republican Dave McCormick

James Carville offers el Sayed reluctant support after Senate candidate distances from Hasan Piker

Democrats attack GOP doctor for cuts to Medicaid in tight Iowa House race

“Well, I would absolutely never move against my friend,” Fetterman said when asked if he would support or oppose McCormick.
