He noted that President Donald trump\u2019s endorsement of Senator Darline Graham Nordone might not have as much influence as expected,especially given the rapid timeline after Senator Lindsey Graham\u2019s death. York highlighted that Trump\u2019s previous endorsements, such as in the governor\u2019s primary, didn&#8217;t always succeed, raising questions about how much sway his support truly has in this race. Nordone, who was appointed to fill Graham\u2019s seat temporarily, is heavily backed by Trump, including a tele-rally and a video endorsement. Tuesday\u2019s primary. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">York acknowledged the strength of Trump\u2019s support, but questioned whether it would be enough to determine the outcome. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe do know that President Trump endorsed Darline Graham, and he\u2019s holding a tele-rally for her tonight,\u201d York said on Monday. \u201cAnd he made a video in support of her, so he\u2019s really pushing.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"wex-inarticle-ad wex-inarticle-ad-art-dsk-inart-2\">\n<div class=\"wex-ad-wrap wex-ad-art-dsk-inart-2\" class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">York pointed to two recent examples in South Carolina that could complicate assumptions about Trump\u2019s ability to deliver Republican voters, saying, \u201cOn the other hand, you know, the president endorsed in the South Carolina Republican <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/state\/4617387\/trump-double-endorses-south-carolina-governor-race\/\">governor\u2019s primary<\/a>, and it didn\u2019t really work out Carolina legislature to redraw congressional districts, but <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/4582193\/redistricting-push-south-carolina-fails-state-legislature-bails\/\">lawmakers declined<\/a> to do so. \u201cI\u2019m not sure how
