Miracle Minds Therapy, also called United Citizens Foundation, and the Nevada DCFS did not respond to the <em>Washington Examiner\u2019s<\/em> requests for comment.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wex-inarticle-ad wex-inarticle-ad-art-dsk-inart-1\">\n<div class=\"wex-ad-wrap wex-ad-art-dsk-inart-1\" style=\"min-height:90px\"><span class=\"wex-ad-label\" hidden>Advertisement<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-3182201-15\" data-wex-ad=\"art-dsk-inart-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article-paywall\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Miracle Minds Therapy wrongly billed the DOJ through \u201cpersonnel costs, improper cost allocation, retroactive billing, unapplied vendor credits, and undisclosed related party transactions,\u201d in addition to improperly charging for rent expenses, according to the August report.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Employees also did not disclose \u201cconflicts of interests\u201d through the rent costs, the audit found. Miracle Minds Therapy made rent payments through a management company owned by the group\u2019s CEO to pay for space from another company the CEO owned, the report said. This led to \u201c$89,911 in unallowable rent costs\u201d that the inspectors want Nevada to remedy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Miracle Minds Therapy also charged insurance companies for the care it provided to victims, despite federal guidelines barring it from making money off the program without certain waivers, the investigation found. Legislation from Rep. Ann Wagner (R-MO) would increase the pool of money to include certain <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/119th-congress\/house-bill\/909\/text\">DOJ fraud cases<\/a>.
