Even though no immediate danger was reported and it wasn\u2019t a close call, the event raised concerns about safety procedures following last year\u2019s fatal mid-air collision involving a passenger jet and a military helicopter. The incident occurred after Marine One took off from the White house with President Donald Trump on board, and it is suspected that FAA regulations regarding minimum separation distances may have been violated. Both the FAA and the White House downplayed the severity, emphasizing that the President was never at risk and that safety was maintained. Standard safety procedure calls for air traffic controllers to halt all commercial aircraft activity at the airport where Marine One takes off.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wex-inarticle-ad
