They argue that the tariffs, imposed on 59 countries and the European Union to address forced labor concerns, are legally questionable, arbitrary, and excessive. The lawsuit claims the tariffs are used to revive policies already struck down by the Supreme Court and that they unfairly burden international trade and U.S. businesses. The White House defends the tariffs, stating they are lawful measures to eliminate unreasonable trade practices and protect U.S. commerce.
