Despite ongoing efforts to undermine Trump through advertising, voter organizing, and opposition research, the group’s financials have significantly declined, wiht recent fundraising and spending well below its peak. Key members like Rick Wilson and Joe Trippi did not respond to inquiries about future strategies, although the group continues to target Trump before the 2026 midterms, aiming to flip 26 congressional seats.

Historically, the group’s success was attributed to timing and understanding Trump’s vulnerabilities, but its influence has waned as Trump and his family dismiss criticism and feel invincible. Critics, including biographer Craig Shirley and Republican figures, argue the group’s reputation has been damaged and accuse it of more interest in profits than impactful politics. Simultaneously occurring, other anti-trump organizations like The Bulwark and Principles First have gained traction, with some attracting large audiences and support, emphasizing a broader movement
