The lawsuit involves a settlement that created an $1.8 billion anti-weaponization fund intended to compensate individuals perceived as unfairly targeted for political reasons by the Biden governance. Republicans have also expressed concern, leading to the nomination of Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche to the DOJ\u2019s top post<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/senate\/4668700\/todd-blanche-attorney-general-vote-postponed\/\"> stalling in the Senate<\/a>, since two GOP members on the committee responsible for advancing the nomination have refused to do so. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sens. <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/john-cornyn\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"965\">John Cornyn<\/a> (R-TX) and <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/thom-tillis\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"973\">Thom Tillis <\/a>(R-NC), both outgoing members of Congress, have stalled the Senate Judiciary Committee\u2019s advancement of Blanche as Trump\u2019s nominee for attorney general.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cDespite comments as late as yesterday that the fund is dead, President Trump clearly intends to resurrect the payout pot for punks either by inappropriately establishing another bogus fund or pushing Congress to vote for a bill that the majority of Republicans in the Senate would be against,\u201d Tillis <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SenThomTillis\/status\/2083528424199537032\">wrote<\/a> on X. \u201cIt\u2019s unfortunate that Todd Blanche, who I consider qualified for the job, will not be confirmed because of this reversal. In a Saturday morning <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/posts\/117020029291674756\">post to<\/a> Truth Social, the president suggested he would no longer push to confirm Blanche as attorney general, and instead keep him in his temporary position, where the top DOJ official could continue to \u201cpush hard\u201d for the fund. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIf Senators Cornyn and Tillis, both upset because I wouldn\u2019t Endorse them (they lost, and quit, respectively!), aren\u2019t going to approve Todd Blanche, one of the most respected professionals, according to everybody, in the Country, to be the United States Attorney General, then I will keep Todd as Acting A.G., and push hard to get the Anti-Weaponization Bill, which takes care of those who have been so badly treated by the Crooked Joe Biden (and Obuma!)
