The court documents detail Miller allegedly grabbing attorney Andrew Zashin and Moreno&#8217;s accusations that he continued to harass her and her legal team. Moreno also claims Miller has ongoing domestic abuse issues, including violent acts toward her and their daughter, and also allegations of child injury. Emily Moreno and her legal team <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/4583915\/emily-moreno-dismiss-defamation-lawsuit-max-miller\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/4583915\/emily-moreno-dismiss-defamation-lawsuit-max-miller\/\">moved to dismiss<\/a> Miller\u2019s lawsuit based on a new Ohio law that protects citizens from lawsuits designed to silence free speech on matters of public concern. Miller denies the allegations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The divorced couple has also been involved in a bitter custody battle over their 2-year-old daughter. In an apparent bid to get custody of his child, Miller accused his ex-wife of pushing false domestic violence allegations in a separate legal case. He previously moved to dismiss that case. His office <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2026\/jul\/30\/max-miller-ohio-representative-domestic-abuse-allegations\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2026\/jul\/30\/max-miller-ohio-representative-domestic-abuse-allegations\">said<\/a> the senator\u2019s \u201ctop priority is the safety and well-being of his daughter and granddaughter\u201d over politics. Miller <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MaxMillerOH\/status\/2052753900873122197?s=20\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MaxMillerOH\/status\/2052753900873122197?s=20\">once accused<\/a> his former father-in-law of funding and enabling his daughter\u2019s \u201cmalicious campaign\u201d to ruin his life.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Separately, former <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/white-house\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"8767\">White House<\/a> press secretary <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/stephanie-grisham\/\" data-type=\"post_tag\" data-id=\"3666\">Stephanie Grisham<\/a> leveled abuse accusations against Miller. The two dated before Miller married Emily Moreno.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Miller, in turn, sued Grisham for defamation as he denied the allegations. The Democratic Women\u2019s Caucus has called on the House ethics committee to investigate the Ohio Republican following the latest domestic violence allegations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe recent reports of domestic violence and child abuse against Representative Max Miller are deeply disturbing and Congress can\u2019t ignore them.
