But apparently he\u2019s getting some pushback from higher-ups at the White House. Cornyn wants those commitments in writing, however, and has delayed a vote on Blanche\u2019s nomination in the meantime.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He is backed by Tillis, a retiring Republican who has committed to voting in lockstep with Cornyn to extract concessions from the White House.
