With each \u201crespectfully decline\u201d \u2014 Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment more than 100 times \u2014 you could sense the blood boiling in committee chairman Rand Paul\u2019s veins. The Kentucky Republican\u2019s committee colleagues on the right appeared to grow more and more incensed.<\/p>\n<p>Understandably so.<\/p>\n<p>Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), spent the Covid years making love to his ego and the omnipresent cameras, his diary informs us. He was the \u201cexpert\u201d who demanded Americans \u201cfollow the science\u201d and then lied about the science. Again and again. <\/p>\n<p>Fauci lied. People died. <\/p>\n<figure>\n<p><span><\/p>\n<blockquote data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<div lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<p>Fauci&#8217;s lack of candor to Congress is unbelievable.<\/p>\n<p>My office is launching an investigation into Dr. Fauci. For six long years Sen. Bernie Moreno, R-Ohio, had waited for this moment. His chance to ask Fauci the question so many of his fellow Americans have wanted to ask. Moreno asked it. Profanely, but he asked it nonetheless. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was about six years ago today that I decided \u2018I\u2019m going to give up my businesses, sell them all, run for office, run for the United States Senate,\u2019\u201d the first-term senator told the old NIAID director, at one time <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/adamandrzejewski\/2021\/01\/25\/dr-anthony-fauci-the-highest-paid-employee-in-the-entire-us-federal-government\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the highest-paid employee<\/a> in the federal government.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHere I am\u00a0sitting in front of you six years\u00a0later saying, \u2018Who the f\u2013k do you think you were for doing that?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tiffany Justice reveled in that moment, in that question. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think the senators were channeling the anger of the American people,\u201d she told me Thursday in an <a href=\"https:\/\/wiba.iheart.com\/featured\/common-sense-central\/content\/2026-07-29-477-the-dan-odonnell-show-matt-kittle-fills-in-fauci-pleads-the-fifth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">interview<\/a> on the <em>Dan O\u2019Donnell Show<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Fauci and his bureaucratic friends turned the Florida mother of four into a warrior for parental rights. <\/p>\n<p>Justice, co-founder of Moms for Liberty, took her frustration over draconian Covid mitigation policies and transformed it into a national movement that had grown to more than 300 chapters with 130,000 members in 48 states <a href=\"https:\/\/www.the74million.org\/article\/moms-for-liberty-now-has-310-chapters-in-48-states-what-will-they-do-now\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">by 2024<\/a> \u2014 just three years after launching. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cSix years ago Moms for Liberty was started because of the COVID lockdowns and the draconian mandates that were put on our children, and parents said, \u2018We\u2019re not having this. We raise our children, the government doesn\u2019t,\u2019\u201d she said. <\/p>\n<h2>\u2018I Tell Him Yes\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>In later winter 2020, the 44 \u201cunusual\u201d cases of pneumonia in Wuhan, China that Fauci noted in a Jan. 3 diary entry was exploding into a full-blown pandemic. Unelected public health officers began directing governors and school districts to close schools and roll out \u201cremote learning\u201d plans. <\/p>\n<p>The lockdown era had begun. <\/p>\n<p>Some six years later, the consequences of those sweeping decisions are stark \u2014 a generation of kids in so many ways left behind. <\/p>\n<p>While Fauci has repeatedly denied he played a part in shutting down public schools, he sure sounded proud of his influence over decision makers in the pages of his diary. <\/p>\n<p><strong><em>March 9, 2020:<\/em><\/strong> <em>Gov. Cuomo calls me up and asks my advice on whether to close schools in the orthodox Jewish section of Westchester where they have 90 cases (more than rest of NYC). I tell him yes. He also asks about closing subways. I tell him not yet, but let us stay tuned.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>March 15, 2020<\/em><\/strong>  \u2014<em> I spoke with Bill de Blasio (Mayor \u2013 NYC) and convinced him based on what I was saying publicly and my conversation tonight to close the NYC schools (he had already decided based on what I was saying on TV). I went on to tell him he should close the bars and restaurants in NYC. He said that he would base this on my recommendation.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In the same journal entry Fauci wrote that he \u201chad a similar call with Ann O\u2019Leary, the COS of Gov. Gavin Newsom of California. Ann said that based on my TV appearances today and yesterday, the Governor has decided to close the schools in California as well as the bars and restaurants.\u201d California and New York became strict adherents of follow-the-Fauci science. Their leftist leaders locked down anything and everything deemed \u201cnonessential.\u201d <\/p>\n<figure>\n<p><span><\/p>\n<blockquote data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<div lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<p>Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) asked Dr. Anthony Fauci a string of questions during his Senate testimony Wednesday, like, &#8220;What day of the week is it today?&#8221; and &#8220;What color tie are you wearing?&#8221; Fauci continued to invoke his Fifth Amendment rights to every question from senators.<\/p>\n<p>One\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/2YUDDApr4j\">pic.twitter.com\/2YUDDApr4j<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u2014 CBS News (@CBSNews) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CBSNews\/status\/2082500333658370506?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 29, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/span> <\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>By this time, Fauci was absolutely addicted to his newfound national celebrity, an adulation junkie. In his diary, the Covid Czar wrote, \u201cWhen I left the WH and crossed Pennsylvania and 17th Street, several cars honked their horns and shouted \u2018thank you\u2019 out the window.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A day later, Fauci told his diary that new Covid guidelines \u201creflected my pushing for a more aggressive mitigation 15 day strategy.\u201d He was moving head-long into his \u201cflatten the curve\u201d maxim.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you are elderly, self-isolate; do not congregate in groups >10 people; stay away from bars, restaurants, theaters, sporting events; if a community has community spread CLOSE the bars, restaurants and places of congregation; close schools where there is community spread; no visitors to nursing homes; if family member is sick, others in family should take extra percautions [sic]; only necessary travel, telework as much as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>\u2018They Have Thrown Everything at Us\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>By April, some Americans \u2014 including respected members of the scientific community \u2014 were speaking out against the lockdowns, the loss of individual liberties, and the power grabs by government officials. The skeptical quickly became a nuisance to Fauci and friends. Not long after, questioning the \u201cexperts\u201d led to a Big Tech\/Big Government censorship campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Moms for Liberty was a big target of central planning. Justice said members were harassed, threatened, spied on, and doxxed. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey have thrown everything at us,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019ve gotten death threats at home. The devil was writing me every week from Denver for a while.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>President Joe Biden\u2019s Department of Justice <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hawley.senate.gov\/abuse-of-power-beyond-watergate-hawley-reacts-to-new-reporting-that-biden-fbi-spied-on-him-other-republican-lawmakers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">went after dissenters,<\/a> treating frustrated and concerned parents like terrorists. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn one investigation, an FBI Field Office interviewed a mom for allegedly telling a local school board \u2018we are coming for you.\u2019 The complaint, which came into the FBI through the National Threat Operations Center snitch-line, alleged that the mom was a threat because she belonged to a \u2018right wing mom\u2019s group\u2019 known as \u2018Moms for Liberty\u2019 and because she is a gun owner,\u2019\u201d asserts a 2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/judiciary.house.gov\/sites\/evo-subsites\/judiciary.house.gov\/files\/evo-media-document\/hjc_staff_fbi_report.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">report<\/a> on the \u201cPoliticization of the FBI and Justice Department.\u201d It was prepared by Republican members of the House Judiciary Committee and included whistleblower accounts. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen an FBI agent interviewed the mom, she told the agent that she was upset about the school board\u2019s mask mandates and that her statement was a warning that her organization would seek to replace the school board with new members through the electoral process,\u201d the 1,050-page report states. <\/p>\n<h2>\u2018A Chance to Save This Country\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>Justice remains hopeful that Fauci will ultimately be held accountable. She\u2019s optimistic by nature, joking that she makes \u201cCovid lemonade\u201d every day. As strange as it may sound, Justice believes, in many ways, Covid was a \u201cblessing.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The pandemic opened a lot of eyes to what big government was doing to Americans and their rights. It forged an army of parents who got to see the curtain pulled back on their children\u2019s DEI schools of indoctrination. It forced moms and dads to stand up and speak out for their children and for their country.
