Mike Collins, a Republican candidate vying to unseat Democrat Jon Ossoff, is not attending Trump’s rally as he remains in Washington, D.C., to participate in votes on key legislative priorities. Collins expressed on social media that, although he wishes to join Trump in Georgia, he must stay in D.C. to represent his constituents.

The article notes recent controversies surrounding Collins, including allegations of his son-in-law supporting a white nationalist group and sharing antisemitic content, as well as issues raised about his former staff members involved in misconduct and concerning political statements. Despite Collins’s absence from the georgia rally, the election race in georgia remains competitive, with Ossoff currently leading Collins by an average of 5.5 percentage points, highlighting Georgia’s significance as a potential pick-up for Republicans seeking to gain control of the Senate.

    Read
