David Schweikert with approximately 69.6% of the vote amid 39% of votes counted. Biggs will face incumbent Democrat Katie Hobbs in the November election. This victory marks a win aligned with former President Donald Trump&#8217;s Make america Great Again agenda adn is supported by the organization Turning Point USA. Biggs had led in primary polls throughout the year and campaigned as a conservative firebrand focused on election integrity, security, and restoring customary values, contrasting with Schweikert&#8217;s more centrist approach. His resounding win shows the organization\u2019s continued influence in Kirk\u2019s longtime home state of Arizona nearly one year after the founder\u2019s assassination.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Biggs had led Schweikert and the rest of the candidate field by double digits in<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/polls\/arizona-governor-election-polls-2026.html\"> primary polling <\/a>throughout the year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Biggs and Schweikert mainly sparred over their ideas for the <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pbs.org\/newshour\/politics\/andy-biggs-and-david-schweikert-offer-competing-visions-for-republican-party-in-arizona-governor-primary\">future of the Republican Party<\/a> in Arizona, typically a GOP stronghold, but the state currently has a Democratic governor and two Democratic senators.
