It also claims she had an undisclosed relationship with a defendant charged with domestic violence and an intimate relationship with another suspect accused of a <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/sexual-assault\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"143\">sexual assault<\/a>, whom she allegedly knew was <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/immigrants\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"1370\">illegally<\/a> in the United States and subject to <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/deportation\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"1294\">deportation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The filing further alleged Johnston helped the suspect avoid arrest by assisting him in evading law enforcement and providing him with a vehicle, allowing him to flee.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cRespondent engaged in a romantic and intimate relationship with private defense counsel while defense counsel was representing several criminal defendants whom Respondent was prosecuting,\u201d the petition said. In Missouri, public office is public trust, not a personal entitlement, and no one is above accountability.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hanaway\u2019s office identified the sexual assault suspect referred to as \u201cJ.G.\u201d in the petition as Juan David Gutierrez.
