integrity measures through grant programs floated by the House Administration Committee and GOP leadership.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) has previously said Republicans will work to pass as much of the SAVE America Act into law \u201cas possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis budget resolution, which kickstarts Reconciliation 3.0, is a process,\u201d Johnson told reporters last week. \u201cIt\u2019s our best shot at enacting our party\u2019s top priority legislation, the SAVE America Act.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"wex-inarticle-ad wex-inarticle-ad-art-dsk-inart-2\">\n<div class=\"wex-ad-wrap wex-ad-art-dsk-inart-2\" style=\"min-height:90px\"><span class=\"wex-ad-label\" told the <em>Washington Examiner<\/em> that while talks have included inserting the full SAVE America Act into the House administration\u2019s version, the majority of talks have concerned the committee\u2019s proposed incentive program.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Republicans are still several steps away from finalizing policy items in the budget bill, as both the House and Senate must pass identical budget resolutions to unlock the reconciliation process.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The House is set to vote on its version of the budget framework released last week on Wednesday, with House GOP leadership hoping to pass the budget resolution before leaving for a monthlong August recess.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wex-inarticle-ad death of Sen. Lindsey Graham, who served as the Budget Committee chairman.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Still, in its current form, the SAVE America Act would not pass the Senate\u2019s Byrd Rule, which governs policies allowed in reconciliation bills, meaning Republicans would need to overrule the parliamentarian\u2019s ruling, something Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) has previously refused to do.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">House Freedom Caucus Chairman Andy Harris (R-MD) told the <em>Washington Examiner<\/em> that the SAVE America Act \u201cmay be altered a little bit, just to become a little more consistent with Senate policy.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"wex-inarticle-ad wex-inarticle-ad-art-dsk-inart-4\">\n<div class=\"wex-ad-wrap wex-ad-art-dsk-inart-4\" style=\"min-height:90px\"><span class=\"wex-ad-label\" hidden>Advertisement<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-3182201-25\" data-wex-ad=\"art-dsk-inart-4\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He continued, \u201cBut again, this is going to the Senate.
