Randy Fine (R-FL) criticized JD Vance for suggesting that elements within the Israeli government are working to undermine U.S. negotiations with Iran, claiming Vance’s comments are out of step with mainstream Republican positions on Israel. Fine expressed concern over Vance’s statements on a podcast, which referenced a Time article about an influence campaign linked to Israel, noting that the article did not support Vance’s claims.During an interview, Vance alleged that some Israeli officials had launched a well-funded campaign against him regarding Iran talks, but Fine argued Vance’s interpretation of the evidence was unfounded. Fine highlighted that every House Republican voted against an amendment seeking to cut aid to Israel, underscoring party unity on the issue, and emphasized that Vance’s views do not represent the Republican consensus. The dispute occurs amid broader tensions over Israel, foreign influence, and internal GOP disagreements. Despite criticizing Vance, fine praised Donald Trump’s handling of israel policy and indicated that his opposition was primarily rooted in disagreements over Vance’s characterization of the recent article. Vance’s comments have drawn criticism from across the political spectrum, with some Republicans and Democrats questioning his stance, and ongoing internal party debates about U.S.-Israel relations.

Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) said Vice President JD Vance is out of step with the Republican Party on Israel, escalating a growing divide inside the MAGA movement after Vance accused elements of the Israeli government of trying to undermine President Donald Trump’s Iran diplomacy.

Fine, one of Vance’s most outspoken Republican critics, told the Washington Examiner he was “very troubled” by Vance’s recent comments on Joe Rogan’s podcast, where the vice president suggested Israeli officials were working to derail negotiations with Iran, referencing a Time report about a digital influence campaign tied to former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale.

Recommended Stories

Secret Service says ‘we have to’ remove swords from statues near White House

White House teleprompter staffer put on unpaid administrative leave over insider trading scandal

White House denies funding cuts have impeded response to parasite outbreak

“The article doesn’t seem to justify his claims,” Fine said. “The article is about an apparently well-funded effort to try to get good PR for Israel among conservatives.
