The numbers in this tracker reflect only the dollars raised to a federal candidate\u2019s authorized campaign committee, not affiliated PACs or other fundraising endeavors.\u00a0For nonelected officials or state candidates, PACs or state campaign accounts are used.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-former-vice-president-kamala-harris\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Former Vice President Kamala Harris:<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Harris\u2019s Fight for the People PAC, the former vice president\u2019s<strong> <\/strong>principal campaign committee for the 2024 election, raised $1.3 million and had $836,000 on hand, according to the PAC\u2019s report.\u00a0Harris would enter the Democratic primary as an immediate front-runner.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-rep-alexandria-ocasio-cortez-d-ny\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY):<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"h-rep-alexandria-ocasio-cortez-d-ny\">The New York Democrat is rumored to be a contender for president or a run against Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) in 2028. Ted Cruz (R-TX):<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cruz raised $2 million and has roughly $3 million on hand as he reportedly considers a presidential bid.\u00a0If he runs, Cruz may need to win over evangelical voters, who aren\u2019t fully sold on him yet, the <em>Washington Examiner<\/em> <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/4625030\/ted-cruz-2028-faith-freedom-coalition\/\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-sen-ruben-gallego-d-az\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sen. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ):<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gallego raised $473,000 and has more than $2 million on hand. The freshman senator has been hampered in recent weeks by his close friendship with former California Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell, whose allegations of sexual misconduct ended his campaign for governor of California.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-gov-josh-shapiro-d-pa\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-PA):<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shapiro bragged that he had raised $12 million and a total of $50 million from January 2025 to June 2026. Rand Paul (R-KY):<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Paul has said he may seek another run for president in 2028, and he ended the quarter with more than $6.7 million in the bank. He raised $616,000 for the quarter.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-rep-ro-khanna-d-ca\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA):<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Silicon Valley Democrat raked in $2.4 million and has a whopping $16.9 million on hand as he flirts with a presidential bid. Khanna recently traveled to Israel, where he was detained. He\u2019s also faced questions over his backing of Graham Platner, the former Senate nominee in Maine who was accused of sexual assault.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-sen-mark-kelly-d-az\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ):<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Arizona Democrat raised $5.5 million and had $23.3 million cash on hand, a sizable sum for a lawmaker not up for reelection until 2028. Greg Abbott (R-TX):<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Abbott\u2019s state PAC entered July with $67 million on hand, and, while FEC rules suggest state PAC money cannot be directly transferred into a federal PAC, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/06\/13\/politics\/desantis-money-super-pac-transfer\">did exactly<\/a> that during his 2024 campaign. If Abbott were to run, he could again test campaign finance regulations with a potential massive transfer.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-sen-chris-van-hollen-d-md\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD):<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Van Hollen has raised his national profile since his visit to El Salvador in 2025 and his support of progressive candidates across the country. He raised $458,000 and has $3.3 million on hand. <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-gov-gavin-newsom-d-ca\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA):<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Newsom does not have a federal candidate committee, but he does have a federal PAC, named Campaign for Democracy. The group has supported Democratic candidates over the last few years. It raised just $33,000 in the second quarter but has more than $7 million in the bank.\u00a0Newsom\u2019s antagonizing of President Donald Trump over the last two years has raised his profile and made him all but certainly a presidential contender.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-sen-john-kennedy-r-la\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA):<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Louisiana Republican raised $1.8 million in the second quarter and has $18.6 million on hand. Kennedy has made the rounds across the country in recent months and has not ruled out a 2028 bid.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-sen-cory-booker-d-nj\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ):<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The New Jersey senator raised $1.2 million in the second quarter and has a staggering $23 million in the bank. Booker recently remarried and embarked on a nationwide book tour, fueling speculation he could be pursuing another run for the Democratic nomination. <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-sen-elissa-slotkin-d-mi\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI):<\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Slotkin raised $864,000 and stored away $2.7 million as she seeks to build her national profile.
