She claimed the bill would &#8220;rig&#8221; elections against Democrats,a point criticized by Republicans who view it as necessary for election integrity,preventing illegal votes,and reducing ineligible voters on rolls. Slotkin falsely alleged that the bill would disenfranchise women,a claim widely debunked and condemned as misleading and sexist. The House has passed the bill multiple times, but it remains blocked in the Senate due to Democrat opposition. Critics argue that Democrats&#8217; stance favors easier voting over election security, implying that their opposition is motivated by a desire to maintain electoral advantage rather than electoral integrity.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Leftist Sen. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., has <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/LauraLoomer\/status\/2042310862619173251?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lost a lot of weight<\/a> in recent months. She hasn\u2019t gained any integrity. <\/p>\n<p>At a town hall with constituents, the Michigan Democrat said the quit part out loud, explaining why her party opposes the Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, also known as the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2026\/06\/12\/hundreds-of-noncitizens-found-on-new-jersey-voter-rolls-after-senate-gop-helps-block-save-america-act\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SAVE America Act<\/a>. The legislative package would require documentary proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote in federal elections and <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2026\/03\/27\/47-democrats-vote-against-voter-id-after-claiming-theyd-support-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">photo identification<\/a> to cast a ballot, and it would demand states clean up their dirty voter rolls. As The Federalist has <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2026\/03\/31\/save-act-is-4-times-more-popular-than-congress\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a>, the vast majority of voters in poll after poll support the election integrity reforms. <\/p>\n<p>So why has almost every Democrat in the House voted against it, and why is every Democrat in the Senate blocking the bill from reaching the floor for an up or down vote? <\/p>\n<p>Slotkin explained what we\u2019ve known for some time: Democrats are much more concerned about making it easier to vote than they are about making it hard to cheat. Or <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/03\/20\/exclusive-gop-chairman-demands-info-from-14-agencies-on-bidens-taxpayer-funded-gotv-efforts-to-boost-dems\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>rig <\/em><\/a>like the Biden administration did with Bidenbucks, using untold American taxpayer dollars for a federalized Democrat get-out-the-vote campaign leading up to the 2024 election? <\/p>\n<p>No, <em>rigging <\/em>to Slotkin and her party means election integrity, particularly laws that ensure illegal aliens and other noncitizens don\u2019t vote in U.S. elections and that ineligible voters don\u2019t remain on state voter rolls. <\/p>\n<p>Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, an election integrity warrior and lead on the SAVE Act asked an understandable question. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAre Dems admitting that they can\u2019t win without noncitizen votes?\u201d he wrote on a X post from TheBlaze highlighting the clip. <\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<h2>\u2018You Are Proving Their Point\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>In her diatribe about the legislation, Slotkin echoed one of several <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2026\/03\/17\/democrats-recycled-lies-about-the-save-act-are-so-lazy-theyre-racist\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">false Dem talking point <\/a>, that the SAVE Act would \u201cdisenfranchise all married women.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis talking point from the Left is not only false, but it also paints women as incapable, which we all know is not the case,\u201d Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., wrote in response to Slotkin\u2019s ludicrous assertion on the original post from Breitbart News. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cShowing up to the polls to vote with an ID that proves you\u2019re an American citizen \u2013\u00a0whether you\u2019re married or not \u2013\u00a0is common sense,\u201d Paul added. \u201cWe need to pass the SAVE America Act.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure>\n<p><span><\/p>\n<blockquote data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<div lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<p>This talking point from the Left is not only false, but it also paints women as incapable, which we all know is not the case.<\/p>\n<p>Showing up to the polls to vote with an ID that proves you\u2019re an American citizen \u2013\u00a0whether you\u2019re married or not \u2013\u00a0is common sense.
