The association, recently gaining significant attention and membership exceeding 120,000, is pushing for radical reforms such as abolishing the Senate and Electoral College, expanding voting rights to non-citizens and incarcerated individuals, and limiting the power of the Supreme Court. So they built a system that kept them on top. Today, we see the results of that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Less than half of the Constitution\u2019s original signers in 1787 owned enslaved people, according to <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.britannica.com\/story\/how-many-of-the-signers-of-the-us-constitution-were-enslavers\">historical accounts<\/a>, which differ on the precise number. Rather than uniting America\u2019s founders, slavery divided the <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/billofrightsinstitute.org\/essays\/background-essay-slavery-and-the-united-states-constitution\/\">authors of both the Constitution<\/a> and the <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.history.com\/articles\/declaration-of-independence-deleted-anti-slavery-clause-jefferson\">Declaration of Independence<\/a> as a moral issue.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nonetheless, the Constitution\u2019s supposedly corrupt origins are linked to <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >modern-day police \u201ckilling black people<\/a>,\u201d prisons \u201ctearing our families apart,\u201d rigged voting maps, poverty, presidential overreach, and \u201ca Senate that gives extra weight to mostly white, less populated states,\u201d the DSA speaker argues in the socialists\u2019 recruiting video.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wex-inarticle-ad wex-inarticle-ad-art-dsk-inart-2\">\n<div class=\"wex-ad-wrap wex-ad-art-dsk-inart-2\" style=\"min-height:90px\"><span class=\"wex-ad-label\" hidden>Advertisement<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-3182201-16\" data-wex-ad=\"art-dsk-inart-2\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The DSA\u2019s <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/platform.dsausa.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/DSA_WDM2025Program_v2.pdf\">national program<\/a> advocates abolishing the Senate and the Electoral College, letting criminals and noncitizens vote, and restricting the Supreme Court\u2019s authority. The organization\u2019s <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/2026.electoral.dsausa.org\/\">website<\/a> says its candidates are running in 60 upcoming elections across the U.S. and have already won 38 this year.
