Under the law, federal officials cannot use their official titles or authority to influence election outcomes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Battaglia, running to represent Iowa\u2019s 3rd Congressional District, told <em><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2026\/06\/15\/iowa-battleground-rfk-zach-nunn-challenger-00962665?utm_medium=twitter&#038;utm_source=dlvr.it\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2026\/06\/15\/iowa-battleground-rfk-zach-nunn-challenger-00962665?utm_medium=twitter&#038;utm_source=dlvr.it\">Politico<\/a><\/em>  last month that Kennedy pressured him in a phone call on June 8 to drop out of the race against Rep.
