Officials had said the broadcast of the letter was an error, but Robinson\u2019s lawyers argued it should be grounds for barring media cameras entirely from Friday\u2019s proceedings.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wex-inarticle-ad wex-inarticle-ad-art-dsk-inart-1\">\n<div class=\"wex-ad-wrap wex-ad-art-dsk-inart-1\" style=\"min-height:90px\"><span class=\"wex-ad-label\" hidden>Advertisement<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-3182201-15\" data-wex-ad=\"art-dsk-inart-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article-paywall\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While Graf found that the flashing of the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >letter violated court orders limiting<\/a> what the media may broadcast from the courtroom, he declined to boot media cameras from the hearing, instead barring only the broadcast of any exhibits presented in court.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cEffective immediately, members of the media shall no longer capture or broadcast any exhibits displayed by the parties during today\u2019s proceedings,\u201d Graf said in his ruling. \u201cThe court finds this sanction to be proportional and appropriate in light of the violation of the court\u2019s prior order.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the image that was briefly flashed on the screen Thursday, the note was addressed to Robinson\u2019s roommate and lover Lance Twiggs, and the letter to Twiggs referred to him by the name \u201cLuna.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"wex-inarticle-ad wex-inarticle-ad-art-dsk-inart-2\">\n<div class=\"wex-ad-wrap wex-ad-art-dsk-inart-2\" style=\"min-height:90px\"><span class=\"wex-ad-label\" hidden>Advertisement<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-3182201-16\" data-wex-ad=\"art-dsk-inart-2\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIf you are reading this per my text, then I am so sorry,\u201d the letter says. \u201cI had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk, and I took it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Final arguments in the preliminary hearing will not occur until a separate, standalone hearing on Sept. 1. Graf will then decide whether there is probable cause to proceed to trial.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Charlie Kirk\u2019s widow, Erika Kirk, and other friends and family of the late conservative activist were present at the hearing throughout the week, sitting in the same courtroom as Robinson.
