The DOJ announced the two-count indictment, <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >wich consolidates previous charges filed<\/a> across multiple states. The suspects planned to deploy drones, cause a mass evacuation, and storm the White House, aiming to target high-profile figures including President Trump, Vice president Vance, Elon Musk, and Benjamin Netanyahu, with Netanyahu notably absent from the event. The plot also involved the intention to murder several officials during the event. The FBI uncovered the plan on June 10,four days before the fight,after the group had been acquiring weapons,explosives,and equipment since May. Chandler Scaggs was designated as a sniper, but fellow suspect Tycen Proper was arrested before they could coordinate travel.The other co-conspirators include Abraham Alvarez, Daniel Eskridge, William Falkner, Jordan Rincker, Bryan Roa, and Michael Thomas. If convicted, they face important prison sentences, with up to 15 years for supporting terrorism and life imprisonment for murder conspiracy. The initial seven suspects were arrested and charged in Ohio, Missouri, Nebraska, California, and Washington. The plotters would\u2019ve then theoretically stormed the White House. The FBI thwarted the attack before it could happen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Law enforcement first learned of the terrorist plot on June 10, four days before the high-profile cage fight. FBI Director <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/kash-patel\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"11691\">Kash Patel<\/a> informed the public about the foiled attack two days after the event.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The plot began in May when the group started acquiring money, firearms, ammunition, body armor, explosives, drones, medical equipment, and communications equipment in service of the conspired attack, according to the indictment.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wex-inarticle-ad wex-inarticle-ad-art-dsk-inart-2\">\n<div class=\"wex-ad-wrap wex-ad-art-dsk-inart-2\" style=\"min-height:90px\"><span class=\"wex-ad-label\" hidden>Advertisement<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-3182201-16\" data-wex-ad=\"art-dsk-inart-2\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The group allegedly planned to murder President <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"4\">Donald Trump<\/a>, Vice President <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/jd-vance\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"7658\">JD Vance<\/a>, and other federal officials at UFC Freedom 250. Tech mogul <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/elon-musk\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"1412\">Elon Musk<\/a> and Israeli Prime Minister <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/benjamin-netanyahu\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"378\">Benjamin Netanyahu<\/a> were also supposed to be targeted because they were expected to be in attendance. It\u2019s unclear whether Musk went to the fight, but Netanyahu was not there.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scaggs was assigned to be one of the snipers in the plotted attack, the DOJ said. He was set to be picked up by fellow co-conspirator Tycen Proper, 19, on his way to <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/washington-dc\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"260\">Washington, D.C.<\/a>, but Proper was arrested beforehand. Scaggs tried to coordinate travel plans with another person in the group.
