U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta described his health as deteriorating considerably, partly due to his own actions. Lakanwal,an Afghan national with past work for the CIA in Afghanistan,faces federal charges including murder and firearms violations related to the November 26 shooting that resulted in the death of Spc. Sarah Beckstrom and injuries to Sgt. Andrew Wolfe.
