return false;\" title=\"Printer Friendly, PDF &#038; Email\">                     <span id=\"printfriendly-text2\" class=\"pf-button-text\"><i class=\"mdi mdi-printer\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/span>                     <\/a>                 <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Former Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-appointed-federal-judge-assigned-to-have-the-final-say-in-hunter-biden-case\/\" title=\"Trump-appointed judge to decide Hunter Biden ....\">avoiding prison time<\/a> despite being found guilty of obstructing ICE agents after Clinton-appointed Judge Lynn Adelman decided that Dugan is a \u201cgood person upset by immigration enforcement in this country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dugan was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/former-wisconsin-judge-hannah-dugan-avoids-jail-time-obstructing-arrest-illegal-immigrant\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">convicted last year<\/a> after ICE agents showed up to the Milwaukee County courthouse to detain 31-year-old Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, who had entered the country illegally and was appearing before Dugan for a hearing in a state battery case. Dugan first confronted the ICE agents before helping Flores-Ruiz and his attorney sneak out through the back doorof her courtroom. Flores-Ruiz was caught moments later and later deported, while Dugan was later arrested by the FBI.<\/p>\n<div id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-2511521329\" class=\"d-flex justify-content-center fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2 fdrlst__b89e9-entity-placement\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1463670073398-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dugan was convicted of felony obstruction and faced up to five years in prison. Prosecutors reportedly requested that Dugan serve between 15 and 21 months in prison.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Notably, Dugan appeared to show no remorse for her actions, telling the court prior to sentencing that her \u201cacts that day were consistent with community concerns at the courthouse.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nonetheless, Adelman decided to give her a slap on the wrist.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis is a situation where an otherwise good person upset by immigration enforcement in this country, a sentiment widely shared, made a bad decision in the moment,\u201d Adelman said in court, according to Fox News\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BillMelugin_\/status\/2074904004744630664?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bill Melugin<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Adelman has made his political bias clear, according to reporting by The Federalist\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/05\/29\/power-grabbing-wi-judges-are-learning-from-rogue-federal-jurists\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Matt Kittle<\/a>. Adelman wrote a piece in 2020 <a href=\"https:\/\/journals.law.harvard.edu\/lpr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/89\/2020\/03\/Adelman.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">entitled<\/a> \u201cThe Roberts Court\u2019s Assault on Democracy\u201d that attacked the conservative majority of the court. In that essay, Adelman accused President Donald Trump of being an \u201cautocrat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In fact, when Adelman was selected to oversee Dugan\u2019s case, Jeff Wagner, a former lawyer and radio host, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/jeffwagnerradio\/status\/1922437026189590611?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> on X: \u201cTalk about luck of the draw! Following indictment, the Dugan prosecution was randomly assigned to Judge Lynn Adelman.
