In a conversation with Patriot Front \u201clieutenants,\u201d dated Dec. 14, 2021, Rousseau <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2022\/jan\/28\/leaked-online-chats-white-nationalist-patriot-front\">reportedly<\/a> wrote, \u201cWe are absolutely desperate for new people. We\u2019ve been in the 220\u2019s to 230\u2019s membership rut for nearly a full year.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"wex-inarticle-ad wex-inarticle-ad-art-dsk-inart-2\">\n<div class=\"wex-ad-wrap wex-ad-art-dsk-inart-2\" style=\"min-height:90px\"><span class=\"wex-ad-label\" hidden>Advertisement<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-3182201-16\" data-wex-ad=\"art-dsk-inart-2\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/unicornriot.ninja\/a-guide-to-patriot-fronts-leaked-media-files\/\">copies of the communications<\/a> obtained by Unicorn Riot, a revolutionary-left media outlet, Patriot Front was so cash-strapped that its members were required to purchase official stickers, flyers, and other branded material from Rousseau personally at a markup.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIf any of the prices seem above market rate it\u2019s because it also goes toward paying for our servers, our digital accounts and subscriptions, and the food I can afford to eat,\u201d Rousseau wrote.
