However, he will not be voting this week,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kentucky.com\/news\/politics-government\/article316344901.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lexington Herald-Leader<\/a>, Rep. Andy Barr, a Republican from Kentucky, had swapped texts with McConnell.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s good,\u201d Barr said.<\/p>\n<p>McConnell\u2019s office has not confirmed whether he is still in a hospital.<\/p>\n<p>McConnell, 84, is in his final months in the Senate, where he has served since 1985.
