Slaughter<\/em> because it is a \u201cuniquely structured, quasi-private entity that follows in the distinct historical tradition of the First and Second Banks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trump fired Slaughter, a Democrat, in March 2025 without cause.
