The U.S. responded to this initial attack with strikes of its own on Friday, with Vice President <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/jd-vance\/\">JD Vance<\/a> asserting then that \u201cviolence will be met with violence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A similar sequence occurred Saturday afternoon when the U.S. <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/world\/4627889\/us-military-strikes-iran-commercial-ship-strait-of-hormuz\/\">struck Iran<\/a> with \u201cadditional strikes\u201d after Tehran launched drone attacks early Saturday morning on Bahrain, a U.S. ally that hosts a naval base, and more vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. In response, Trump <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/world\/4627900\/trump-us-may-be-forced-complete-job-iran-after-strikes\/\">threatened to<\/a> \u201cmilitarily complete the job that we very successfully started.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tehran <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/foreign-policy\/4627971\/iran-us-ceasefire-hormuz-ship-strikes\/\">continued its assault<\/a> by firing more drones, <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/selinawangtv\/status\/2071360663696375931\">as well as missiles<\/a>, at both Bahrain and Kuwait through Saturday night and into Sunday morning.
