Woods had his three children with him \u2014 a 4-year-old, a 3-year-old, and a 1-year-old, according to a report by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kmbc.com\/article\/florida-father-punches-truck-window-children-trapped-rescue\/71717495\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WPBF-TV.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The father had to act quickly when his oldest accidentally hit the door lock button before Woods had removed the keys. \u201cMy son climbed to the front of the truck to get out, and I didn\u2019t realize I didn\u2019t have my keys on me until he got out of the truck and closed the door. But as he was coming out, his hands were on the door, and he hit the lock button unknowingly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After trying the back doors and finding they were locked, Woods had to act fast. \u201cJust the two minutes in the truck, they were sweating really badly.\u201d He tried to keep a level head, but the children weren\u2019t doing well.<\/p>\n<p>WPBF said the temperature was around 94 degrees.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe was freaking out, the baby was crying, and I know she just wanted us to come in there and get her,\u201d he said of his two younger children.<\/p>\n<p>Without anything to smash the window, he made a decision. \u201cI was like, you know what, my fist will probably work, and I just went to town on the window.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He started punching, and the third blow did the job, breaking the window so he could unlock the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>He rescued the children successfully, but his hand was a bloody mess.<\/p>\n<p>He needed an emergency room to treat the cuts he suffered from shattering the glass.<\/p>\n<p>But Woods said it was worth it. \u201cIn that particular time, you\u2019re not worried about the cuts. WPBF said a child\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >body temperature rises faster<\/a> than an adult\u2019s, making time of the essence.<\/p>\n<p>Woods\u2019 wife set up a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/f\/help-after-heroic-rescue-at-walmart\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GoFundMe<\/a> to help pay his medical bills from the incident. She wriote, \u201cWe are incredibly grateful that our children are safe and that this frightening accident did not end in tragedy. Our 4-year-old had no idea what he had done, and accidents happen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, we are now facing unexpected expenses from the ambulance ride, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/white-house-releases-list-of-president-trumps-accomplishments-and-it-is-historic\/\" title=\"White House Releases List of President Trump\u2019s Accomplishments \u2013  And It Is Historic!\">emergency medical care<\/a>, and the cost of replacing the shattered truck window.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAny donation, no matter the amount, would mean so much to our family and help ease the financial burden caused by this emergency.\u201d As of Thursday evening, the account had raised more than $4,000.<\/p>\n<p>Smashing a window to save three children has \u201cman\u201d written all over it.<\/p>\n<p>Men acting as protectors and leaders built Western civilization; the left wants us to demonize them.<\/p>\n<p>Men and women are not in competition.
