The report is due within seven days of the next Board of Trustees meeting or by the end of July. The tarp, which covers the sign, is said to be ther for repair work on the marble facade, but the court is scrutinizing the delay adn the reasons behind it. Historically, Trump\u2019s name was added to the Kennedy Center without legislative approval, prompting a lawsuit by Rep. Joyce Beatty. Judge Christopher Cooper previously ordered the removal of Trump\u2019s name and temporarily blocked plans to close the center for renovations, which the administration is appealing. It is unclear when the white covering will be taken down.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper, an appointee of former President <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/barack-obama\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"360\">Barack Obama<\/a>, ordered the removal of Trump\u2019s name last month in response to a lawsuit filed by Rep. Joyce Beatty (D-OH). The Kennedy Center ultimately complied with the order, but workers didn\u2019t remove the president\u2019s name until hours after the court-ordered June 12 deadline had passed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The judge determined the Kennedy Center trustees bypassed <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/congress\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"31\">Congress<\/a> by renaming the memorial to honor Trump without legislative approval. Congress named the center after President <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/john-f-kennedy\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"4031\">John F.
