The camp&#8217;s bankruptcy was filed shortly after Texas officials released a 115-page report criticizing its lack of emergency preparedness during the flood, which rapidly rose from the Guadalupe River and caught the camp off guard, resulting in the deaths of 25 girls, two teenage counselors, and the camp\u2019s director. The report noted that staff were not given responsibilities or instructions for evacuation, leading to a lack of awareness and response during the crisis.The tragedy prompted the camp to remain closed for the summer, having withdrawn its license renewal request amid investigations. Months earlier, Texas Lt.
