The court reinstated a plan from January 2025 that enables immigration authorities to remove certain illegal entrants quickly, without lengthy legal hearings. This decision, which overturned a lower court ruling from August 2025, confirms that these expedited removals do not violate due process rights. Consequently, ICE and Customs and Border Protection can deport certain undocumented individuals-such as those who entered without inspection or parole, or &#8220;gotaways&#8221;-within days or hours. Though, individuals who have been in the U.S. for two years or more, or who are <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >asylum seekers passing initial screening<\/a>, are exempt from these procedures.
