While MLB warned the players about future violations for writing biblical scriptures, it did not sanction them. Critics, including Harmeet Dhillon, accuse MLB of a double standard, pointing out the league&#8217;s support of social justice messages like Black Lives Matter patches in 2020. None of the players were sanctioned, but they were warned about future violations. The sports organization cited its content-neutral policy in justifying its warnings to the three players.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dhillon accused MLB of a \u201cdouble standard\u201d in which players may not write Bible verses on their hats but others are allowed to don social justice messages.
