In Wisconsin, Democrats attempted to disqualify Green party candidate Pete Karas through baseless signature challenges, which were ultimately dismissed by courts affirming the legitimacy of his candidacy.Critics argue these actions reflect a broader Democratic strategy to suppress alternative voices and limit voter choice, exemplified by past efforts to remove Green Party candidates from ballots in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/republican-coalition-decries-treatment-of-jan-6-defendants-in-dc-gulag\/\" title=\"Republican Coalition Decries Treatment of Jan. 6 Defendants in &quot;DC Gulag&quot;\">recent presidential elections<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In Alaska, controversy arose over a candidate named Daniel J. The Alaska Elections Division concluded that his candidacy was intended to mislead and thus disqualified him from the Republican primary ballot. The incumbent senator dismissed the challenger as a sham candidate aligned with Democratic operations, emphasizing the importance of fair elections free from deception.<\/p>\n<p>these <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >instances underscore ongoing partisan tactics<\/a> where some Democrats are accused of employing legal and procedural maneuvers to restrict alternatives and influence election outcomes, raising concerns about fairness and integrity in the electoral process.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Two recent ballot battles more than 3,400 miles apart tell you all you need to know about just how nasty Democrats play for power. <\/p>\n<p>In one case, Democrats enlisted the assistance of a Milwaukee law firm in a failed attempt to take out Green Party competition \u2014 a familiar play from the left\u2019s political playbook. In another, liberals in Alaska appear to be behind a shady scheme to run a convenient \u201cRepublican\u201d named Dan Sullivan against incumbent Sen. Dan Sullivan in Alaska\u2019s August GOP Senate primary. <\/p>\n<p>Handsome former First Lady Michelle Obama liked to unironically <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2024\/08\/21\/michelle-obama-dnc-speech-chicago-2024-00175324\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">say<\/a> of Democrats, \u201cWhen they go low, we go high.\u201d In Alaska, Wisconsin and across the nation, the question increasingly is, \u201cHow low can Democrats go?\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>It\u2019s Not Easy Being Green <\/h2>\n<p>Earlier this month, <a href=\"https:\/\/ballotpedia.org\/Pete_Karas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pete Karas<\/a> became the latest Green Party candidate to face the political grist mill of Democrats. Karas, running for the mostly ceremonial post of Wisconsin secretary of state, was forced to fight a frivolous challenge to all of his nearly 3,000 signatures on his petition for candidacy. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.walz-chojnacki.us\/Pensees\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Gregory Walz-Chojnacki<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/wisdems.org\/dnc-convention-delegate-applicants\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">affiliated with<\/a> the state Democrats but not running for the statewide position, asked the Wisconsin Elections Commission to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wispolitics.com\/2026\/karas-campaign-democrat-moves-to-throw-out-2937-voter-signatures-and-keep-green-candidate-off-the-ballot\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">toss out<\/a> the 2,937 signatures, significantly more than the 2,000 state law requires. Walz-Chojnacki made two spurious claims to justify his challenge: that Karas\u2019 signature collectors may have lived out of state, and that dozens of the pages were blurry. <\/p>\n<p>Karas and his Madison attorney, Skylar Croy, presented evidence that all circulators under penalty of law, stated on the forms that they resided in Wisconsin and noted their addresses. As to Walz-Chojnacki\u2019s claims that the submitted forms were \u201cblurry,\u201d the challenger in his complaint did not specify what pages he had difficulty reading, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wispolitics.com\/2026\/karas-campaign-democrat-moves-to-throw-out-2937-voter-signatures-and-keep-green-candidate-off-the-ballot\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">press release<\/a> on behalf of Karas. Besides, as the Green Party candidate notes, flawless nomination papers are not required under state law, only \u201csubstantial compliance.\u201d A state appeals court <a href=\"https:\/\/law.justia.com\/cases\/wisconsin\/court-of-appeals\/2024\/2023ap001350.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">upheld<\/a> the standard in a lawsuit questioning the validity of papers with blurry, obscured, or missing words. <\/p>\n<p>And, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wispolitics.com\/2026\/karas-campaign-democrat-moves-to-throw-out-2937-voter-signatures-and-keep-green-candidate-off-the-ballot\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">according to<\/a> Karas, Walz-Chojnacki failed to have his complaint notarized.<\/p>\n<h2>\u2018It\u2019s Their Strategy\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>The challenge quickly died. Walz-Chojnacki\u2019s liberal Milwaukee attorney <a href=\"https:\/\/bsky.app\/profile\/ethicking.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Stacie Rosenzweig <\/a>notified the Wisconsin Elections Commission shortly after Karas responded to the charges that her client was dropping the challenge. Rosenzweig represented far-left Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Jill Karofsky in a judicial complaint calling out Karofsky\u2019s despicable partisan language from the bench. The justice in 2020 excoriated President Donald Trump\u2019s attorney, Madison attorney Jim Troupis, for defending his client in a campaign challenge to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/118\/meeting\/house\/116804\/witnesses\/HHRG-118-HA00-Wstate-HemingwayM-20240207-U1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">rigged<\/a> 2020 presidential election. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat you want is you want us to overturn this election so that your king can stay in power,\u201d Karofsky <a href=\"https:\/\/urbanmilwaukee.com\/2020\/12\/14\/karofsky-calls-trump-suit-un-american\/#google_vignette\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>. \u201cAnd that is so un-American. And for you to say that anyone in Wisconsin engaged in fraud, for you to perpetuate that fallacy on the people of Wisconsin and the people of the United States in America, in what has been called the most significant election in our lifetime, is nothing short of shameful.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The the Wisconsin Judicial Commission dismissed the complaint but warned Karofsky to \u201cremain neutral and avoid making sarcastic remarks from the bench,\u201d CBS News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/minnesota\/news\/panel-scolds-wisconsin-justice-for-remarks-in-trump-case\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a> at the time. <\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wispolitics.com\/2026\/karas-campaign-milwaukee-law-firm-hired-to-knock-green-party-off-ballot-withdraws-challenge-in-defeat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">press release<\/a> celebrating his victory in an unnecessary fight, Karas said the faulty challenge was just the latest in a long line of Democrats trying to knock the liberal competition off the ballot. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cDemocrats love to talk about protecting democracy. Then they hire lawyers to make sure you can\u2019t vote for anyone but them. It\u2019s their strategy,\u201d the press release charged. <\/p>\n<p>In 2024, the Democratic National Committee <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/jill-stein-wisconsin-president-ballot-2024-e8cb52080dc7ba32997642e962dc0b06\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">unsuccessfully attempted<\/a> to boot Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein off the ballot. They did the same in 2020, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wpr.org\/justice\/wisconsin-supreme-court-rejects-green-party-effort-get-presidential-ballot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">succeeded <\/a>in keeping Green Party presidential candidate Howie Hawkins out of the race \u2014 a process that was widely condemned as a shameless, anti-democratic stunt.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a partisan thing. It has nothing to do with democracy,\u201d Karas told me during a recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.iheart.com\/podcast\/426-the-vicki-mckenna-show-27246267\/episode\/vicki-mckenna-show-who-is-worthy-of-life-with-guest-host-matt-kittle-336413038\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">interview<\/a> on <em>The Vicki McKenna Show<\/em>. \u201cThe Democrats are great at challenging Republicans and saying you\u2019re preventing all of these people from voting, but really what the Democrats are doing is preventing people from having a choice to vote for somebody other than themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>The Battle of the Dans<\/h2>\n<p>Last week, Alaska director of Elections Carol Beecher decertified the candidacy of faux Republican Senate candidate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/c3r2r271yj9o\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Daniel J. Sullivan<\/a>, who Beecher ruled is running with the purpose to \u201cconfuse or mislead and to thereby compromise the ballot\u2019s fairness or neutrality.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sullivan, who admitted to working with a political strategist who is \u201ca known longtime supporter of Democratic candidates,\u201d challenged incumbent Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan. The challenger opted to run as \u201cDan Sullivan\u201d despite the fact that he is identified in his voter registration documents as \u201cDaniel J. Sullivan, Jr.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat you chose the occasion of your declaration of candidacy for U.S. Senate to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ruling-on-illinois-candidate-slating-prohibition-could-come-this-week\/\" title=\"Decision Expected This Week on Illinois ... Slating Prohibition\">seek ballot access<\/a> under a name you have not used in your interactions with the [Election] Division suggests \u2014 and in combination with the additional facts I outline in this letter leads me to conclude \u2014 that you are seeking to confuse yourself with another candidate in the race, the incumbent Senator Dan Sullivan, rather than distinguish yourself from him,\u201d Beecher <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elections.alaska.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Final-Determination-6.15.2026-DOE.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote<\/a> in a stinging rebuke. <\/p>\n<p>The Sullivan booted off the Republican primary ballot, it turns out, had never been affiliated with Alaska\u2019s GOP. That changed just two days before he filed his declaration of candidacy, the Election Division\u2019s records show. And his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sullivanforsenate.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">campaign website,<\/a> curiously, looked a lot like the senator\u2019s, Beecher wrote.\u00a0Beecher noted Dan J. Sullivan\u2019s ties to Amber Lee, \u201can Alaska Democratic consultant who has previously supported Peltola,\u201d Fox News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/name-candidate-disqualified-key-senate-race-alleged-dem-scheme-confuse-voters\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Metadata from the campaign\u2019s launch identified the Democratic operative as its author, Fox News Digital previously reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA political consultant you have admitted is working with your campaign is a known longtime supporter of Democratic candidates including the primary Democratic challenger to Senator Sullivan,\u201d Beecher wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Beecher reviewed two complaints filed, including one from the National Republican Senatorial Committee. She said that she had offered Sullivan an opportunity to submit additional evidence to support his eligibility. The deadline was 5 p.m., June 11. He declined to do so. <\/p>\n<h2>\u2018Free From Deception and Gamesmanship\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>The 70-year-old phony Republican has not responded to media inquiries. He did post on his Facebook page following Beecher\u2019s ruling. It was his birthday, and he took time to grouse about the state of politics and the decision that removed him from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncsl.org\/elections-and-campaigns\/2026-state-primary-election-dates\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Aug. 18<\/a> Republican primary ballot. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cShould a candidate\u2019s chances of winning an election disqualify them from trying? Should a person\u2019s given name be a qualifier to be on a ballot? To me it\u2019s not complicated,\u201d the other Sullivan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/sullivanforsenate\/posts\/pfbid02GuWz8ERvPjYC5LJkJw4SXEm2Fm6DWzYrwUe9WUrqBwFnadcmeezxMT1TavophZpyl?rdid=aiQ3dkCDIwPklFJV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote.<\/a> \u201cI met the qualification and I entered this race because I am unhappy with the 12 year record of the current Senator and I feel we need a change. It\u2019s that simple.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The incumbent Sen. Sullivan posted on X that the \u201csham candidate\u201d was \u201cthe Schumer\/Peltola machine\u2019s new recruit \u2026 not a real Republican, he\u2019s a donor to liberals across the country including Peltola herself!\u201d referring to his Democrat opponent, <a href=\"https:\/\/nativenewsonline.net\/currents\/mary-peltola-yupik-gets-blamed-for-second-dan-sullivan-entering-gop-senatorial-primary\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mary Peltola<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery Alaskan has the right to a free and fair election, free from deception and gamesmanship,\u201d the senator\u2019s campaign manager Billy Mackey said in an emailed <a href=\"https:\/\/alaskapublic.org\/news\/politics\/2026-06-15\/alaska-elections-division-makes-it-official-says-dan-j-sullivan-cant-run-against-sen-dan-s-sullivan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">press release <\/a>to Alaska Public Media. <\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>      Matt Kittle is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/judge-throws-out-leftist-nevada-ags-phony-fake-electors-case\/\" title=\"Judge Throws Out Leftist Nevada AG&#039;s Phony &#039;Fake Electors&#039; Case\">senior elections correspondent<\/a> for The Federalist.
