He is arguably best known for his roles as the wizard Gandalf in <em>The Lord of the Rings <\/em>movie franchise and the aforementioned Magneto in Marvel\u2019s X-Men movies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">McKellan is the second actor this week to make comments criticizing Trump. During Sunday\u2019s \u201cRise Up, Sing Out\u201d concert in New York City, actor Robert De Niro said that Trump\u2019s presidency has made it impossible to love his country. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe phrase, \u2018We all love our country,\u2019 stuck in my throat,\u201d <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/celebrity\/articles\/niro-says-cant-love-america-170000048.html\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> De Niro. \u201cBecause our country isn\u2019t so lovable right now.
