The Court did not provide reasons for this decision and did not take up the case, which had already been dismissed by lower courts. The lawsuit claimed that the FBI&#8217;s spying was based on discredited evidence from the Steele dossier, but the investigation found no ties between Trump and Russia. The case was ultimately dismissed by a federal judge who ruled that Page could sue the agents but not those who authorized the spying. the Supreme Court&#8217;s refusal to hear the case comes shortly after the Department of Justice settled related claims for $1.25 million. U.S. District Judge Dabney Friedrich, a Trump appointee, <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/801194\/judge-dismisses-carter-pages-fisa-abuse-lawsuit-against-james-comey-and-others\/\">ruled<\/a> in 2022 that Page could sue the persons who did the spying, but not the people who authorized the allegedly unlawful spying. A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/court-rules-north-carolina-abortion-ban-unconstitutional\/\" title=\"... Rules North Carolina Abortion Ban Unconstitutional\">federal appeals court upheld<\/a> the decision to dismiss the lawsuit, and the Supreme Court\u2019s Monday decision means it is dead.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Supreme Court declined to take up Page\u2019s lawsuit, rejecting dozens of other cases petitioned to the high court on Monday. In its orders list, the high court announced three cases it would take up for arguments in its upcoming term.
